Consumer Reports provided the most comfortable clothing for this holiday season.

It may be cold outside, but you can keep warm in the sweatshirts and slippers recommended by the editors of Consumer Reports. 

Testers tried some top brands and showed their favorites, just in time for holiday gifts.

There is nothing more comfortable than a favorite hooded sweatshirt. If you want to buy a new one for yourself or give it as a gift this holiday, there are many options. 

So how do you choose?

This is where the testers of Consumer Reports come in.

They left the laboratory and took to the streets to try eight pullover hoodies from brands such as American Giant, Nike, H&M, Adidas and Champion.

In addition to evaluating the warmth the hoodies provide in the refreshing autumn weather, CR staff also noticed how well they were made by looking at the seams and their materials.

They also assessed the comfort and fit, as well as the ease of maintenance of each hoodie.

For example, H&M hoodies need to be dried after washing or dry cleaning. 

The store claims that its version is sustainably manufactured with 100% organic cotton and is priced at only $40.

Although it is not 100% cotton, the staff said that the $60 Champion is one of the best choices.

After testing the hoodie outside for a whole day, I am happy to come home and put on something more comfortable, such as slippers.

Testers wore a variety of slippers dangling around their cool East Coast home, including LLBean Wicked Good Moccasins, Glerups and lined Crocs.

The staff first checked the warmth, then the comfort, stability, and of course the appearance of the slippers.

Glerups won high scores for all slippers wearers. Priced at $100, they are warm, breathable and easy to move.

Although not so warm, consider a $40 Bombas to meet your budget. 

They are very light and can travel well.

If you tend to wear slippers for housework, then Crocs Classic lined clogs are your best choice.

The testers were surprised by their comfort and likes. 

Therefore, in this season, consider giving yourself or a loved one a comfortable gift instead of style.

CR said that slippers made of natural materials, such as the recommended Glerups, are the best choice for choosing slippers. 

As a special gift, the editors also like the Ugg Fluff Yet nappa slide, which is worth $100.
