If you are the kind of person that cried when the tiny Yarn Yoshi amiibo were announced, and then again when Mega Yarn Yoshi arrived, then prepare yourself for this next salvo of fluffy Yoshi content: Gelato Pique, the Japanese brand responsible for Animal Crossing slippers and soft PJ versions of Mario's overalls, has expanded their Yoshi-branded clothing to include a bunch of pastel Yoshi clothing and accessories.

Customers who pre-order anything from the Yoshi Collection will receive a limited-edition Yoshi bag in Gelato Pique's signature pastel blue, with a sleeping Yoshi on the side (while stocks last).

I love the entire collection, but that parka hoodie is screaming "buy it!" at me! those price tags though... those price tags are physically painful to look at 😭
Jeez they had to hunt a lot a Yoshis for this product line.
There is probably better Yoshi merch out there for a better price.

These kinds of styled/modelled after the character clothes aren't usually my thing. However, the colour palette they chose is absolutely IMMACULATE. I would love to pick one of these up in the future, Gelato Piques know their stuff when it comes to fashion (even if their name sounds like an ice cream van that only gives out cones).
That parka and shorts set would be nice to wear as PJs. Too ridiculous-looking to wear outdoors though.
Green colour looks nice on this site.

At $140 for a T-shirt and shorts, I think I can manage to restrain myself.

Then I saw the prices and.... hoo boy. Even as a big Yoshi fan I have a hard time swallowing those prices.
If you can afford these clothes then you should be paying more tax.
My wife saw these at the Nintendo Store in Tokyo and came running with a set to show me. Then she looked at the price, turned white, and put them back... carefully.

You're all missing the point. They're so expensive because they're made out of gelato. They're edible. That explains it. Right?
Just for 'fun' I calculated how much it would cost you to buy all the available Yoshi items....
Geez. Gonna have to get a mortgage for my Yoshi merch now.
