Quality sleep is important—but it can be elusive. Between genetics, busy schedules, stress, and your environment, catching your recommended z’s isn’t easy. Although you can’t control all of those factors, you can influence a few variables, such as your sleep setup.

Live with a noisy roommate? A white noise machine might just do the trick. Tossing and turning in bed? Finding the right mattress could help. Unfortunately, improving your sleep setup takes time and money—both of which are in short supply these days. But this Memorial Day weekend, we can help with some of that. We’ve rounded up the best deals we could find on sleep essentials to help you transform your room into the perfect tranquil haven without going over budget.

Leesa Sapira Hybrid Mattress (Queen) Deal price: $1,050 with code WIRECUTTER; street price: $1,660

Offering better cooling and a thicker cover than the competition—plus a 100-day trial period and 10-year warranty—the durable Leesa Sapira Hybrid is our longtime top pick for the best memory-foam mattress you can buy online. (After a recent rebranding, Leesa is returning to the mattress’s original name, the Sapira.) Combining the best components of memory-foam and spring mattresses, this Sapira model is an 11-inch hybrid mattress with more than 1,000 springs and four layers of CertiPUR-US–certified memory foam that provide optimal pressure relief and bounce. We saw the Hybrid for about $50 less from Amazon earlier this month, but this deal is still a great drop from $1,660 when you apply code WIRECUTTER.

Saatva Classic (Luxury Firm, Queen) Deal price: $1,174; street price: $1,600

The Saatva Classic delivers all the bounce of a traditional innerspring mattress without the usual creaking or rigidity. It has pocketed microcoils and a plush cotton and memory-foam top for optimal pressure relief, no matter what position you sleep in. However, the Classic doesn’t offer the best motion isolation, so rotisserie-style sleepers may still face the ire of their bed partner. The Classic is nicely discounted at under $1200—it's also accompanied by an impressive 365-day trial period and lifetime warranty (note: returns and exchanges elicit a $100 fee).

WinkBed Queen Mattress Deal price: $1,345 with code WCMEMDAY; street price: $1,500

If you prefer a firmer mattress, the WinkBed is a medium-firm polyfoam mattress that provides a nice cushion but does not have as much spring as its previous iteration. Less cradling than the Saatva, it has 1,054 pocketed coils internally and around the rim that create an overall denser and supportive mattress. We initially found the WinkBed overly stiff, particularly against our shoulders, but it quickly broke in after about a week of use, nicely balancing give and support throughout the body. This deal also includes a 120-night trial period, a four-month satisfaction guarantee, and a lifetime warranty. Right now, both the Luxury firm and Softer models (the two models we preferred of WinkBed’s three offerings) are on sale with promo code WCMEMDAY.

L.L.Bean 280-Thread-Count Pima Cotton Percale Sheet Set (Queen) Deal price: $135 with code WCSLEEP15; street price: $159

High-quality sheets are one of those luxuries you just need to try out for yourself. With a durable construction that only gets softer with each wash, this supple and breathable percale set from L.L.Bean has been our top cotton-sheets pick for four years running. We’ve seen better markdowns in the past, but considering that these sheets have increased in street price over the past few years, we think this drop to $127 is still a solid deal. Don’t forget to use promo code WCSLEEP15 to save on this set of cool, crisp sheets.

Cultiver Linen Sheet Set With Pillowcases (Queen) Deal price: $308 with code WIRECUTTER20; street price: $385

Elton John was really on to something in the ’70s—I, too, want to be laid down in sheets of linen. They have an airy feel and an effortlessly rumpled look but still somehow offer a decent weight that’s more substantial than what you can get from your average cotton sheet. Our top pick was one of the softest sets we tested and more durable than the competition. These sheets are also a bit more affordable—though that’s not saying much if you know how pricey linen sheets can be. This set includes a fitted sheet, a flat sheet, and two pillowcases. The stated price is for the queen size, but the discount code WIRECUTTER20 works for all other sizes, as well.

Cultiver Linen Duvet Cover (Queen) Deal price: $208 with code WIRECUTTER20; street price: $260

Why not complete the set with a duvet cover while you’re at it? Praised for its softness and effortless look, our high-quality linen pick is a luxurious option that will please any linen lover. It’s super soft, smooth, and breathable. And like the Cultiver sheets above, it doesn’t have the same durability issues as duvets from other brands. The Cultiver duvet isn’t cheap, even on sale, but the overall quality is largely unmatched. Plus, this deal equals the best price we’ve seen in the queen size when you use the code WIRECUTTER20.

Baloo Weighted Blanket (Queen, 15 Pounds) Deal price: $129; street price: $180

It may seem counterintuitive to comfort yourself by weighing your body down with 15 pounds, but for many folks, there’s some very real magic at work when they use a weighted blanket. Our low-maintenance “quilted” pick is the perfect cross between a bedroom comforter and a quilt. It’s soft and smooth, and it has higher-quality stitching than other, cheaper blankets—perfect for your bedroom or movie night. Plus, it’s washer and dryer safe. If you’re looking for a versatile weighted blanket, this deal is an excellent chance to pick up a low-maintenance option.

Brooklinen All-Season Down Comforter (Full/Queen) Deal price: $287 with code WIRECUTTER; street price: $359

Blankets and sheets are great, but nothing beats a comforter when it comes to getting cozy. If you want something warm and fluffy but still lightweight, we like the Brooklinen All-Season Down Comforter. It’s lofty and high-quality, and it’s one of the few comforters we recommend that hasn’t experienced serious stocking issues due to the pandemic. We’ve seen some buyer reviews saying that down leaks from the shell of their Brooklinen comforter, but we have yet to experience any shedding in our own tests. It also comes with a nice one-year return policy and a two-year warranty. All sizes are currently discounted when you use the promo code WIRECUTTER.

L.L.Bean Maine Twill Blanket (Full/Queen) Deal price: $127 with code WCSLEEP15; street price: $149

This casual, no-fuss blanket is the perfect companion on a chilly day. Don’t be fooled by its thinner appearance—the Maine Twill Blanket is toasty and nicely weighted, perfect for layering under a comforter or for curling up on the couch. It’s also tightly woven and durable. Even after three years of testing and washing, it still looks soft and new. We don’t see many notable discounts from L.L.Bean, so don’t miss out on this chance to grab this toasty blanket with code WCSLEEP15.

Ecosa Pillow Deal price: $68 with code WCMEMDAY; street price: $80

Suffering from neck, shoulder, or arm pain? Back- and side-sleepers may find some relief with the Ecosa Pillow. Made of contoured memory foam, the Ecosa is a mostly firm pillow with a bit of give to help you feel cradled without sinking in. It’s also adjustable and height-customizable. If you’re still unconvinced, Ecosa offers a 100-night return policy, so you have plenty of time to decide if it’s right for you. The promo code WCMEMDAY drops this pillow to $68. That’s not exactly cheap, but we have yet to see this contoured memory-foam pillow drop any lower.

Nest Bedding Easy Breather Pillow Deal price: $75 with code WCMD22; street price: $90

Even if you’re allergic to down, that doesn’t mean you have to miss out on an ultrasoft pillow. The Easy Breather is supportive, soft, and one of the most comfortable pillows we’ve found. It’s also highly adjustable, as it’s filled with shredded foam that you can remove to find your ideal fit. The Easy Breather comes with a two-year warranty and lacks the infamous chemical smell that plagues many other shredded-foam pillows. This deal is far from the best price we’ve seen for this adjustable pillow, but it’s still a decent savings when you use code WCMD22 at checkout.

EyeBuyDirect Blue Light Lens Glasses Deal price: $33 with code WIRECUTTER; street price: $51

The jury is still out on the effects of blue-light-filtering glasses, but if you toss and turn at night after sitting in front of a screen all day, they’re worth a shot. You can try a pair on sale right now from EyeBuyDirect, such as our unique and super-lightweight pick, the Botanist Rectangle, which is down to only $31 (from $51). EyeBuyDirect also offers excellent customer service and a 14-day return policy. Note: This discount doesn’t apply to Ray-Ban or Oakley frames, and there’s a purchase limit of six frames per order.

Brooklinen Waffle Robe Deal price: $79 with code WIRECUTTER; street price: $90

There's nothing quite like curling up in a cozy robe. The airy and polished Brooklinen Waffle Robe is our spa-style robe pick. It’s cozy and thick without feeling heavy, and though it wasn’t as plush as some of our other picks, it was still soft and flattering on our testers. This robe is also made of the same materials as Brooklinen’s towels, which were absorbent but not soggy in our tests, so it’s perfect for throwing on after a shower. Make sure to use the code WIRECUTTER at checkout to snag the discounted price.

Brooklinen Mulberry Silk Eyemask Deal price: $23 with code WIRECUTTER; street price: $29

Every nightstand is unique. From a stack of books and a therapeutic candle to a sunrise alarm clock and a glass of water, each is adorned with different accessories that help complete your perfect sleep formula. If you’re sensitive to light, a nice sleep mask might be the accessory you’re missing. The Brooklinen Mulberry Silk Eyemask is a supple mask that one of our staff writers calls their “slightly naggy, ‘go back to bed’ mask.” Right now, you can pick one up for yourself on sale from Brooklinen when you use the promo code WIRECUTTER.

L.L.Bean Women’s Wicked Good Moccasins Deal price: $67 with code WCSLEEP15; street price: $79

In the cool, early hours of the morning, there’s nothing quite like a cozy pair of slippers. These L.L.Bean sheepskin slippers have been our favorite set for several years running. They’re super soft and durable—basically “a warm hug for your feet.” The Wicked Good Moccasins are also breathable and easy to slip on and off, and they offer nice all-around coverage. Although this discount doesn’t match previous lows, it’s still a decent chance to snag a longtime Wirecutter favorite for a little less. Make sure to use the promo code WCSLEEP15 to get the discounted price. The men’s version is also on sale for the same price.

Nap Loungewear Slip Fishtail Midi Dress Deal price: $75 with code WC22; street price: $108

You may not need a nightgown—but there’s something delightfully charming about donning a cozy slip while you flit about the house. Some clothing staples never go out of fashion, and nightgowns are among them. The Slip Fishtail Midi Dress by Nap Loungewear is a great option if you’re going for a more sensual aesthetic. It has a mermaid hemline and a sleeveless design that can easily transform from a negligee into a simple cocktail dress for a night out. It’s made from 100% polyester fabric that’s highly moisture absorbent—perfect for those who sleep hot. Right now, you can use the promo code WC22 to snag this versatile dress for $75.

Lunya The Robe Deal price: $200 with code FOR-WC; street price: $250

The Lunya robe is decadent. Chic and dramatically cut, it has a double-duty collar that you can wear open or fastened to create a cowl neck. It’s also the most expensive robe we tested, even on sale, but its soft French terry fabric and flattering fit make it hard to beat. If you’re looking for a breezy statement robe for the summer—and the price doesn’t make you balk—the Lunya is a beautiful option. Make sure to use the promo code FOR-WC at checkout.
